Tricolor TV launches B2B premium sports offering

Russian pay TV leader Tricolor TV has launched a new premium sports package for commercial customers.

The B2B offering includes eight popular sports channels and is available for RUB4,500 a month.

The service, aimed at hotels, sports bars and clubs and restaurants, will include Match! Arena HD, Match! Igra HD, Match! Nash Sport, Match! Boyets, Match! Futbol HD 1, 2 and 3, and Nash Futbol HD.

Tricolor cited forecasts by local analyst group TMT Consulting that said the B2B segment of the Russian pay TV market is set to grow by 10.2% a year for the next five years.

Alexei Karpov, deputy CEO for linear TV development, said that the offering wiould include some of the most significant sporting events in the calendar, including the FIFA Confederations Cup and the World Cup.
