Telia and Discovery agree new carriage deal

Telia and Discovery have agreed a new carriage deal, after the Swedish operator briefly dropped the latter’s channels last week.

In a statement issued Friday, Telia said that Discovery’s channels would be back up in time for that evening’s football World Cup qualifying match between Sweden and France.

“It is sad that our customers got caught, but now we have an agreement with Discovery that means that we enhance our TV service, and our customers can continue to watch TV when they want, how they want and where they want,” said Jonas Hasselberg head of Telia’s consumer business.
