History staffs up for Dutch launch

A+E Networks UK has hired new programming and marketing staff ahead of the launch of History channel in the Netherlands.

Marit Huiskamp and Eva Schouwenaar have joined A+E’s Amsterdam-based Benelux office as programme scheduler and marketing manager respectively.

Huiskamp will join later this summer from RTL, where she has spent the past several years working in broadcasting schedules, channel promotion and content creation.

She and Schouwenaar will report to Jessica Haagmans, who is A+E regional director for Benelux.

“We are thrilled to welcome both Marit and Eva to our Benelux office,” said Haagmans. “A+E Networks UK has a growing presence in the Netherlands and our new Dutch History feed reflects our expansion. We will continue our development with the experience and talent that both of these two team members are bringing to our company.”

A+E Networks UK is a joint venture between A+E Networks and Sky.
