United Media acquires Fight Channel

Western Balkans pay TV operator United Group-owned United Media has acquired Fight Channel, the combat sports channel for the region operated by Fight Channel Group.

Fight Channel offers a range of mixed martial arts sports, kickboxing and boxing. Its content includes live and archive events of UFC, Bellator, Glory and other fighting brands. In addition to international events, Fight Channel promotes local and regional fighting sports scene and also airs documentaries.

The group will continue to operate its international HD channel, Fight Channel World HD and organise Final Fight Championship events in Europe and the US.

United Media is part of Kohlberg Kravis Roberts-backed United Group, which operates Serbia Broadband and the Telemach group of cable networks.

The media unit operates a range of sports channels under the Sport Klub brand as well as movies, kids and entertainment channels in the region.
