TVT appoints Discovery exec

Yuko Suguro

Media services and post-production outfit TVT has appointed Discovery executive Yuko Suguro as head of operations in Japan.

Suguro joins from Discovery where she helped launched the channel in the region and most recently worked as manager of operations, overseeing satellite network and domestic delivery operations.

She first joined Discovery in 1996 and held a number senior operations management roles within the business.

“Yuko brings with her extensive experience in managing media delivery and operations for one of the world’s leading broadcasters,” said TVT CEO, Ian Brotherston.

“Her experience at Discovery has given her invaluable knowledge of the technical and operational challenges of bringing international content to the Japanese market.

“Her appointment is a significant step for TVT as we continue to grow our presence and support an increasing number of broadcasters and content owners that distribute their content to Asian audiences.”

TVT has identified Japan as a key market and works with customers like BBC World News, A+E Networks and Hulu in the region.
