PlayStation VR adds support for 3D movies

Sony has added 3D movie support to PlayStation VR in the latest software update for its PlayStation 4 games console.

Sony said in a blog post that version 4.50 of the PS4 system software will let users watch 3D Blu-rays via PlayStation VR, with the addition of stereoscopic 3D support.

The update also adds external hard disk drive (HDD) support to the console, so that users can plug USB 3.0 HDDs of up to 8TB in size into their PS4 to store additional content.
