Google updates Fiber TV App

Google has updated its Fiber TV App in a bid to make it easier for users to find, record, and watch content.

The update lets users: play and record TV shows, sports, and movies with one tap; view personalised recommendations for live TV; and get recommendations about what DVR recordings to watch next.

Last month Google announced that it will not now roll out fibre internet in most of its ‘potential Fiber cities’ and will cut staff in these markets. However, it said it would continue in its existing Google Fiber footprint – in the cities where it has launched or its fibre rollout is under construction.
