Vice names international channels chief
Viceland International has a new president.
James Rosenstock has been promoted from his executive VP, international post. He will also remain head of corporate development.
In his new post, he will oversee the global Viceland networks, which have been rolling out in recent months.
Rosenstock joined Viceland parent Vice Media in 2015 from Discovery Communications, where he was EVP, corporate development. In that role he oversaw more than US$3 billion in international mergers, playing a key role in the acquisitions of SBS Nordic, Eurosport, Switchover Media and All3Media (the latter of which was in conjunction with Liberty Global).
In his corporate development role, he’ll continue to work on new executive partnerships that bring Vice content to new territories.
Viceland has made deals to launch in more than 50 territories, making it one of the quickest-expanding networks in global television this year.
Rosenstock’s management team includes Viceland EMEA and Asia Pacific general manager Arjen Hoekstra, senior VP of TV and video programming Kevin Sutcliffe, Viceland Canada GM Quincy Raby, and creative director Cristian Jofre.
“Viceland International will work parallel to our mobile and digital businesses to ensure continued growth, and I look forward to traveling the world to coordinate our global operations and to further expand Viceland’s reach into even more territories across digital, mobile and TV.”
Eddy Moretti and Spike Jonze lead Viceland as co-presidents.
