Management changes at Telekom Deutschland
Deutsche Telekom’s domestic arm, Telekom Deutschland, has named Ferri Abolhassan as director of service transformation and has moved technology chief Bruno Jacobfeuerborn to the position of managing director of Telekom’s radio tower unit Deutsche Funkturm. Jacobfeuerborn has also been named as Deutche Telekom group chief technology officer at the head of a new technology and innovation board.
Telekom Deutschland said it would report a new head of technology to replace Jacobfeuerborn soon.
Deutsche Telekom is in the process of a major transformation of its networks and infrastructure to enable it to deliver converged services. Niek Jan van Damme, board member for Germany at Deutsche Telekom, said that Abolhassan’s appointment would reinforce the company in its efforts to create a single service unit to enable it to bundle all its services together.
Among the changes being implemented by Deutsche Telekom is a more flexible working hours agreement with employee representatives, enabling working hours in the service and technology areas to be increased by up to four hours as required and, after 2019, reduced in line with demand.
