Multimedia Polska boosts kids VOD offering
Polish cable operator Multimedia Polska has boosted its recently-launched video-on-demand offering for kids with the addition of new titles from English Club TV and Da Vinci Learning.
The operator is adding about 200 episodes of shows from the two broadcasters. As part of its promotional offer, Multimedia Polska will provide the service free of charge to all subscribers for one week from September 19-25.
In total, Multimedia Polska is adding episodes from 25 series. New titles available include English-language learning programmes Word Party and Yummy for Mummy for two-to-six year-olds and 7-14 year-olds respectively, along with technology and inventions show James May Presents and Einsteinek, in which animated characters explain Einstein’s theories.
Multimedia Polska launched its Kids Zone VOD service in June, with programmes allocated to four sections – two divided according to age and two thematic sections covering educational programmes and music. Shows area available on TV, via the web and mobile.
Edyta Bukowska, Multimedia Polska’s director of programming, said that the Kids Zone format had been a hit with viewers, with new content being added each month to strengthen specific genres.
