XITE and KPN launch Dutch 4K music channel

Dutch music broadcaster XITE has partnered with operator KPN to launch a new ultra high-definition music channel, XITE 4K.

The station is available now as part of a pilot with selected KPN subscribers, who are able to watch via KPN’s new 4K UHD set-top boxes on channel number 691.

“We at KPN are very proud to announce that we are the first telecom provider in the Netherlands to offer 4K to our test group. KPN encourages innovation, this makes XITE 4K a great addition to our offerings,” said KPN director of content, Marnix Laurs.

Director of distribution partnerships at XITE Networks, Marius Brok said: “XITE 4K allows consumers to get the most out of their 4K television devices. XITE is continuously innovating the way we view music videos, so we are very proud that XITE was able to develop and launch XITE 4K together with KPN.”
