Telewizja Polska deal for SES
Audiovisual engineering and digital technology specialist Studiotech Poland has signed a deal with SES to provide satellite capacity for Polish public broadcaster Telewizja Polska’s (TVP) satellite newsgathering requirements.
Studiotech has taken capacity at the 23.5° East orbital slot. The company recently won a public tender to supply TVP’s SNG needs.
We are pleased to enter into cooperation with Studiotech, recognized for providing quality professional audio and video equipment, and supplying turnkey services. The positive outcome of the public tender proves TVP’s confidence, as well as Studiotech’s, in our ability to deliver reliable satellite services. We are very satisfied that we were able to fulfill their high expectations,” said Norbert Hölzle, senior vice-president, Commercial, Europe, at SES.
“We are excited to be partnering with SES for this contract with TVP. We believe that having SES as our strategic partner places us in an ideal position to meet the occasional and long-term needs of our customers for satellite capacity. We’re looking forward to a long and prosperous partnership,” said Elwira Machowska, CEO at Studiotech Poland.
Separately, SES’s new SES-9 spacecraft is entering commercial service. The company said that SES-9 has successfully completed its testing and reached its orbital position at around 108.2° East where it has joined SES-7 and will replace NSS-11, serving the Asia Pacific region.
