Global VOD market to grow to US$61.4bn by 2019

The global video-on-demand market will be worth some US$61.4 billion (€53.8 billion) by 2019, according to new research by MarketsandMarkets.

The research firm’s new global forecast and analysis predicts that the VOD market will grow at a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 19.4% over the forecast period, from US$25.30 billion in 2014.

“In terms of regions, North America is expected to be the biggest market in terms of revenue contribution, while Asia-Pacific and Middle East and Africa are expected to experience increased market traction, during the forecast period,” according to the report.
