Instagram brings video channels to the fore

Picture-sharing site Instagram has revamped its Explore user interface to feature video channels.

According to the social media group, the change will make it easer for users to discover ‘Videos You Might Like’ featuring videos from across Instagram’s glabal community.

The Explore grid will also includes a range of featured channels populated by videos on specific topics.

Explore connects Instagram users to posts they might be interested in from other users they don’t yet follow, based on them ‘liking’ particular posts.

The Explore updates are currently only available in the US, but will be rolled out globally soon, according to Instagram.
