Lagardère hit by plunging revenue at studio arm
A poor performance by Lagardère’s TV activities contributed to a 10.6% fall in revenues on a like-for-like basis at its Lagardère Active unit for the fourth quarter of 2015.
Revenue from TV activities plunged by 24.9% thanks largely to less activity from Lagardère Studios. The same period for the previous year was boosted by the delivery of season two of Transporter: the series.
Overall, Lagardère Active turned in revenues of €319 million, up 1.1% thanks to the acquisition of Boomerang TV Group in May 2015. Excluding Lagardère Studios, the like-for-like decline was limited to 1.2%.
