AMC reorganises central Europe unit
The central Europe division of AMC Networks International has rejigged its operation and will now run across two distinct areas, film and entertainment, and kids and infotainment.
The channel operator has brought in CEE TV industry veteran Judit Minda to oversee programming at the new kids and infotainment unit. She was at MTG until recently, and has also worked at HBO Hungary and HBO Central Europe and Spektrumm, as well as prodco Havas Films, which she co-owned.
Katalin Radóczy will oversee the film and entertainment division. Both of the divisions will sit alongside the AMCNI’s sports operation in CEE, and there are no changes at that part of the business.
Minda and Radóczy will both report to regional CEO Levente B. Málnay.
“We are pursuing this reorganisation with the objective to increase profitability on existing markets and to enter new territories. Our goal is to further expand both these programming divisions,” said Málnay.
The new units will cover nine of the thirteen AMCNI channels in the CEE region, including AMC, Filmcafe, Film Mania and Spektrum, TV Paprika and Minimax.
