Apple TV users can use Facebook to log in

Apple TV users will be able to use Facebook to log in to App Store apps following Facebook’s move to make its software development kit available for tvOS, the device’s operating system.

Facebook has announced the beta release of the SDK for Apple TV and tvOS, enabling people to log onto apps by entering a confirmation code displayed on the TV into their smartphone or computer, rather than entering their user-name and password with their remote controls.

The move will also enable people to share links, photos, videos and other content from their app with Facebook contacts and will enable content providers to use Facebook Analytics to understand how people are engaging with apps, according to Facebook.
