Report: Netflix plans Cambodia launch

Netflix is planning to launch in Cambodia next year as part of its international expansion efforts, according to local reports.

The Phnom Pehn Post reported last week that Netflix would roll out there next year, as part of the video streaming service’s publicly-stated aim to complete its global expansion and increase its global footprint to 200 countries by the beginning of 2017.

Last month Netflix made its Asian debut by going live in Japan. Later the same month it confirmed upcoming launches in South Korea, Singapore, Hong Kong and Taiwa for early 2016.

Netflix’s next launches will be in Spain on October 20, in Portugal on October 21 and in Italy on October 22.
