Mediaset claims victory in battle with piracy

Mediaset has claimed a victory in the ongoing battle against piracy in Italy with the closure of six website that had illegally redistributed live Serie A Italian football coverage.

Regulator Agcom has moved to close down websites Freecalcio.eu, Calcion.in, Liveflash.tv, Liveflashpalyer.net, Webtivi.info, Miplayer.net and Supermariohdsports.wix.

The latest campaign against sites that redistribute Mediaset content follows a similar move last year by Agcom.
