NTV+ secures Serie A football

Russian pay TV operator NTV+ has followed up its deal to acquire Ligue 1 French top-tier football rights with a deal for rights to Italy’s Serie A.

NTV+ subscribers will be able to view matches from the Italian championship on the Match TV channel.

NTV+ CEO Alexander Vronsky said that the deal would bring “one of the strongest football leagues in the world, whose matches have traditionally attracted the attention of fans far beyond Italy” to the “many fans of Italian football” in Russia and would enhance the offering of Match TV.
