Kremlin Media reportedly bidding for Russia’s Muz-TV
Russian production outfit Kremlin Media has made a bid to acquire Muz-TV, the country’s longest established domestic music channel, owned by YUTV, according to local reports.
According to business title Vedomosti, Kremlin Media, founded in 2013 by Sergei Bunin, and how helmed by Ekaterina Bunina, has made a bid of around RUB1.3 billion (€18.5 million) for Muz-TV.
According to the paper, Bunin, currently the head of state-backed music agency Goskontsert, is a close associate of Vladimir Kiselev, a Russian producer who recently teamed up with Olga Plaksina, the chairwoman of Russian Media Group, to create a “patriotic” media holding company that would bring together a number of TV and radio assets, aligned with the aims of the Russian government.
