Fox taking Bundesliga to entertainment channels

Fox will simulcast the opening match of the German football league on its sport as well as its entertainment channels around the world.

In what Fox International Channels claims is a first, it will show the Bundesliga season opener between Bayern Munich and Hamburg on in Italy and the Netherlands in Europe and in North and South America and Asia.

It will show the game on the Fox Sports channel as well as FIC’s general entertainment channels in an attempt to broaden the audience for the match.

The game will go out on Fox Sports, as on Fox, FX, Film Zone and Cinecanal in Latin America; Fox and FX in Brazil; the Fox channels in Asia as well as Fox Netherlands and Fox Italy.

In the US, the first match will be on Fox Sports Regional Networks, Fox Sports 2 and via Fox Sports’ YouTube channel.
