LCI chief Revel leaves
Eric Revel, the CEO of TF1-owned French news channel LCI, has left the group to launch a new personal project.
In a statement, Revel thanked this colleagues at the news channel and wished them the best for the future.
“Eric Revel has contributed hugely to the editorial evolution of LCI during his seven years at the head of the channel. I wish him full success for the future,” said TF1 Group CEO Nonce Paolini.
TF1 last week posted first half revenues of €9.80.7 million, down 4.4% year-on-year, and a net result of €63.7 million, down from €321.6 million following the deconsolidation of Eurosport France. Excluding the latter, its net income rose by 4.1%.
TF1 said that after a first half that had seen advertising revenue growth, the second half of the year was expected to be stable, with the market remaining competitive thanks to the continued improvement in performance of HD channels on the DTT platform.
