Canal+ to broadcast UHD Champions League final

Canal+ will broadcast this weekend’s Champions League Final in Ultra High Definition, it has confirmed. 

The “experimental” UHD trial will be carried out over the Astra 19.2 ° East satellite in partnership with satellite operator SES.

Sky in Germany also confirmed earlier this week that it will air the match in UHD quality in 13 selected Sky Sports Bars in Germany, following a successful UHD live broadcast of the DFB-Pokal football cup final in the same locations.

The UEFA-produced football final between Barcelona and Juventus will take place this Saturday, June 6, at Berlin’s Olympiastadion and will kick off at 20:45 local time.
