HBO Europe reorganisation as Kutela exits
HBO Europe’s senior VP and Polish chief Aleksander Kutela has left the company to become CEO of Ringier Axel Springer-owned ISP Onet.pl.
Kutela’s exit has forced a rejig at HBO Europe, with Michal Kozicki becoming president, HBO Poland.
He is being upped from sales director, a role that will be filled by Michal Walewski.
Kutela is an HBO veteran, having been at the company for seventeen years in different positions, overseeing the Polish business, marketing and programming functions, as well as the roll out of HBO Go in Poland.
He will succeed interim CEO Jonny Crowe at Onet.pl.
“In his previous role Aleksander Kutela successfully introduced digital platforms and paid models and transformed HBO into one of the key media brands in Poland,” said Mark Dekan, CEO of Ringier Axel Springer Media and Group CEO Poland. “His arrival at Onet reinforces our commitment to content, brands and dedication to strong partnerships.”
His replacement, Kozicki, has been at HBO Europe for ten years. Linda Jensen, CEO of HBO Europe, said today: “In the ten years since he joined HBO, Michal has demonstrated excellent sales and managerial skills; I am delighted by his appointment and look forward to working with him in the future.”
