FremantleMedia exec moves to MCN StyleHaul
FremantleMedia veteran Olivier Delfosse has been named COO of StyleHaul, Fremantle’s multichannel network sister firm within the RTL Group.
At Germany-based StyleHaul, he will work closely on developing the business with CEO and president Stephanie Horbaczewski, working out of LA.
At FremantleMedia, Delfosse drove global digital initiatives and partnerships with the likes of YouTube and Facebook as senior VP, digital.
European channels group RTL took control of StyleHaul last year in an a deal valuing the firm at around US$150 million.
Amongt his duties, Delfosse will oversee StyleHaul’s partnerships with other digital companies within the Bertelsmann-owned RTL group.
Last year, the company worked with FremantleMedia’s US firm Tiny Riot! to launch YouTube series The Crew, as part of an “unprecedented” 10-series development deal.
“[Delfosse’s] appointment paves the way for deeper and more meaningful partnerships with RTL and FremantleMedia and he is also uniquely positioned to help develop possible synergies with [RTL-owned] BroadbandTV, SpotXchange and Divimove,” said Horbaczewski.
“During my tenure at FremantleMedia, my team and I had success extending global television brands, like American Idol, The X Factor and America’s Got Talent, into the social and online video space,” added Delfosse.
“I am looking forward to bringing that knowledge and expertise to StyleHaul and working in partnership with Stephanie to execute her strategic vision for the company’s growth as it continues to scale.”
