Christian Television Network goes online with RR Media
Christian Television Network (CTN) is going after a global online audience after it extended its partnership with digital broadcast services firm RR Media.
US-based CTN will now be available online as an HD channel for the Roku platform, as well on the CTN website, which is accessible via PC, tablets and smartphones.
“We’re happy to continue and expand our work with an innovative company like RR Media in order to deliver inspirational programming that appeals to a broad cross section of viewers in multiple regions around the world,” said CTN president Bob D’Andrea.
CTN already partners with RR Media, which distributes its channel via its global network for delivery over satellite, fibre and the web to North American DTH platforms. It also sends the feed to RR Media’s Middle East media centre for delivery to Asian and African TV service providers.
Delivering content over online video platforms now expands the channel reach of CTN to global audiences, with the broadcaster able to repurpose existing broadcast content for online consumption.
