YFE claims success for Slovakian venture

German channel provider Your Family Entertainment (YFE) has claimed success for its recently launched Slovakian kids TV channel RiK.

RiK, a joint venture between the Munich-based kids TV specialist and Bratislava-based broadcaster Joj TV, broadcasts a mix of animated and live-action programmes including Altair v Hviezdnom kráľovstve, Enid Blyton and Novodobí Robinsoni and movies including William Shatner-starring Twist in the Tale, targeted at four to 12 year-olds. According to YFE, the channel is the first kids service in the Slovak language.

“RiK is our fifth channel in Slovakia and the only channel dedicated to children and youth audiences. It is also the only channel in Slovakia for the youngest audience completely in the Slovak language. Because of its violence-free nature and high quality of content we have experienced extraordinary interest in RiK from providers from the start of the channel,” said Marcel Grega, CEO, Joj Group.
