Food Network launches in Russia
Scripps Networks International has launched Food Network in Russia, expanding the channel’s existing footprint in EMEA and Asia.
The high-definition channel launched in partnership with European media services firm DMC, which already provides content, media handling and playout services for Food Network in EMEA. DMC will duplicate this for the Russian feed.
“We are proud to further our partnership with the DMC to launch the Food Network channel into Russia. Scripps Networks is always looking to expand our reach into new markets and to bring our highly popular lifestyle content to new audiences,” said Scripps Networks International’s managing director, UK and EMEA, Jon Sichel.
Jelmer Kleingeld, vice-president and general manager at DMC added: “This new feed to Russia of the Food Network channel is a great example of how we are committed to simplifying the logistics of media handling and delivery for our clients. This enables our clients to concentrate on growing their business while we take care of the technical aspects.”
DMC is a division of AMC Networks International, the global division of AMC Networks that delivers programming to subscribers in more than 140 countries and territories, including Africa, Asia, Europe, Latin America and the Middle East.
