BBC Studios appoints new MD

BBC Studios and Post Production has appointed chief operating officer, David Conway, as its new managing director.
Conway’s promotion follows the announcement earlier this month that chief executive Anna Mallett is moving, taking up a role that will see her devise a blueprint for a more commercial BBC Production.
Conway has been COO of BBC Studios and Post Production since May 2012, having previously served on the company board as a non-executive director, whilst working as the BBC’s head of investment and major projects in BBC Corporate Finance.
BBC Studios and Post Production is a commercial subsidiary of the BBC that provides studios, post production and digital media services to the media industry.
