Netflix updates search

Netflix has begun rolling out a new search experience on its website to complement its recommendation engine.

The new search interface features cover art for titles to give a more visual presentation. Potential matches of TV programmes and cover art apprear predictively when users type in the search field, while a list of actors, directors and content creators matching the query is shown on the left hand side of the screen.

Users can also now type in ‘Netflix’ to make the page display all Netflix original programmes and films.
