Mariner reaches 20 million devices milestone

Mariner, a firm that provides software-defined monitoring for IP video, now says that it is monitoring more than 20 million devices using its Mariner xVu solution. 

Announcing the milestone, Mariner said that it monitors more than 75 billion events per year for TV and video operators.

It also claimed that its market is growing as customers add new content and bundles for TV, broadband internet, and mobile devices.

“We are monitoring over six billion events per month and identifying hundreds of millions of service impacting IP video issues,” said Shaun MacDonald, vice president of business development and marketing at Mariner.

“Mariner xVu software can easily scale to support the largest service providers in the world, giving operations teams the troubleshooting tools to proactively identify potential problems that affect the consumer experience across fixed, mobile, and portable screens.”
