OTT Acorn grows onto iPads and iPhones
Acorn TV, the US streaming service programmed with UK-centric content, has launched on Apple devices.
An Acorn app is now available in Apple’s online store, allowing iPad and iPhone owners to watch Acorn’s shows on their devices.
Acorn, which launched in 2011, offers customers a free month-long trial and costs US$4.99 (€3.72) a month thereafter, or US$49.99 a year.
It has streaming rights to a raft of British drama series including Agatha Christie’s Poirot, Foyle’s War and Midsomer Murders.
Acorn is part of RLJ Entertainment, the US distributor and content company that majority owns Agatha Christie Limited.
