UPC Czech Republic adds HBO Go
Liberty Global-owned cable operator UPC Czech Republic has HBO Go, the pay TV broadcaster’s TV anywhere on-demand service, to its offering.
HBO Go will be available to all UPC Czech customers with active HBO, HBO HD, Superfilm and Supreme subscriptions.
The move will enable UPC Czech customers with the relevant subscriptions to view content including Game of Thrones, True Blood and HBO’s flagship Czech mini-series Burning Bush on demand on multiple devices.
Other content to be made available in the near future includes Až Po Uši, a local production based on Israeli format When Shall We Kiss, starring Iva Klestilová and Tereza Dusová and directed by Jan Hřebejk.
Jason King, vice president of marketing and sales at UPC Czech Republic, said that the additoin of HBO Go was the first iteration of enabling UPC Czech customers to view programmes on multiple devices at a time of their choosing and that the company wanted to enable more services like this in the future.
