Kabel Deutschland selects S3 Group for service validation

Kabel Deutschland has selected S3 Group to help it scale and validate video services on various consumer premises equipment (CPE), such as set-top boxes and gateway devices. 

Kabel Deutschland will use S3 Group’s leading video test automation platform, StromTest Development Center, for advanced, end-to-end service validation capabilities – including live service monitoring, channel line-up validation, A/V and caption quality assurance.

Kabel Deutschland said the StormTest Development Center will help its quality assurance and operations personnel to assess the performance and service-readiness of video across connected devices.

The platform will interface with Kabel Deutschland’s headend to validate video service configurations and integrate with CPE to test services and simulate subscriber viewing experiences prior to deployment.
