Vivendi names Twitter exec to board

Vivendi has nominated Twitter executive Katie Jacobs Stanton to join its supervisory board.

Stanton is vice-president, international market development at Twitter, based in Paris.

She previously served as special advisor to the US State Department and as director of citizen participation at the White House.

Prior to working in the Obama Administration, Stanton held positions at Yahoo and Google from 1999 to 2009.
