iWedia appoints sales vice president

Swiss-based TV technology firm iWedia has appointed former Alticast executive Sunghoon Kim as vice president of sales, with a particular focus on the digital TV operators market.

Kim was previously vice president of business development at Alticast, where he worked for several years prior to joining iWedia – a provider of software solutions for TV devices.

Commenting on the new hire, iWedia CEO Hans-Jürgen Désor said: “He will be focusing on expending our footprint on the market of telcos and pay TV operators, a market where we already have been involved in success stories – especially thanks to our approach of using Android as an operating system for STBs and TV sets – and that we want to develop further.”
