Vonetize to launch 4K streaming app

US-based smart TV app specialist Vonetize is set to launch a worldwide UHD content app, which it claims will be the first dedicated 4K streaming service.

The service is due to launch commercially with Samsung next week and will be available on new 4K UHD Smart TV devices.

Alongside the dedicated 4K app, Vonetize said it plans to include 4K quality content into its existing services – which include Total Music, Planet Knowledge, Baby Channel, Bollywood Channel and its Premium VOD service, SmartVOD.

“As 4K TVs are clearly the next big step-up in home-entertainment quality, solving the high demands of delivering 4K video over internet was a great challenge. Vonetize is now in a position to offer content from the world’s top producers, in the highest visual experience available in the market today,” said Vonetize CEO Noam Josephides.
