TalkTalk makes new movies offer ahead of Oscars
UK service provider TalkTalk is to add the Sky Movies Oscars channel to its line-up in the run-up to the Oscars.
The telco will make make the pop-up channel available to Sky Movies Boost subscribers, enabling them to view a range of Oscar-winning films including Argo, Les Miserables, Life of Pi, Skyfall and Django Unchained.
The channel will be available until March 10, covering the Oscars ceremony itself live on March 2.
TalkTalk’s on-demand service TalkTalk Box Office will also launch a choice of Weekend Double Bills during the Oscars weekend, offering two films for £4 (€4.85) for the whole weekend. Titles in the offer include Black Swan, Lost in Translation, The Fighter and The King’s Speech.
The service provider is also making the subscription VoD PictureBox Films service available to all TV customers until April 2, offering on-demand movies at no extra charge in place of the usual £5 per month.
