HomeGrid names new chair and VP

The HomeGrid Forum has named Barbara Stark as its new chair and David Thorne as vice-president.

Stark is lead member of technical staff in the strategic standards organisation of AT&T, while Thorne is chief researcher, broadband and access at BT’s technology, service and operations unit.

HomeGrid president John Egan will continue in his role.

Home network standards body HomeGrid, which last year merged with the HomePNA group, is anticipating further operator trials and early deployments of the G.hn standard for home communications this year as well as furthering the migration of HomePNA to G.hn.
