Telefónica had 3.441 million pay TV subscribers globally at the end of September, up 3.7% year-on-year.
The global figure includes 2.642 million homes in Latin America, up 11.3%. In Spain, Telefónica had 609,300 pay TV customers at the end of the third quarter, down 19.8%, with a loss of 23,000 subscribers recorded during the last quarter, a reduced rate of loss compared with the same period last year. Telefónica had 5.812 million broadband subscribers in its domestic market, down 4.2%.
Telefónica’s Czech unit, which has since been sold, had 147,600 pay TV customers at the end of September, up 5.6%.
