Change at the top for Ren TV

Russian broadcaster Ren TV has named Irina Varlamova as its new director-general, replacing Aleksandr Ordzhonikidze, who is leaving the company.

Ordzhonikidze, who has combined his role at Ren TV with the general directorship of its majority owner National Media Group, will now focus on the latter role.

Varlamova has held a number of posts at Ren TV, including editor-in-chief and executive producer.
