RTL sells stake in Russia’s National Media Group

RTL Group has exercised a put option to sell its 7.5% stake in Russia’s National Media Group.

RTL revealed its decision to sell at the time of its half-year financial report for 2013, published at the end of August. The Group has received a payment of €81 million in the framework of the exercise of its put option and transferred its shareholding to one of the current shareholders in National Media Group.

RTL Group said it has excellent relations with National Media Group and its shareholders, and that both sides would welcome future opportunities for cooperation.
