TiVo and Entone team up for IPTV solution

TiVo and Entone have teamed up to provide a joint IPTV solution.

The solution combines Entone’s hybrid IPTV devices with the TiVo user experience. This partnership provides for integration with TiVo’s cloud services, including universal search and recommendations, networked DVR service, as well as key elements of the TiVo user experience on Entone IPTV platforms.

The combined solution is initially targeted for IPTV operators who want to offer the TiVo user experience to their subscribers with deployment flexibility. The TiVo service provides features including universal search, personalized recommendation, and an assembly of web media applications, such as online music and cloud-based video on demand. The underlying Entone hardware provides a platform for supporting the TiVo experience while also providing tuner configurations for hybrid TV and a variety of in-home video distribution technologies and options.

Entone will exhibit at IBC on stand 14.541 and TiVo will exhibit on stand 14.531.
