NBCU hires FremantleMedia exec
NBCUniversal has recruited Jacqueline Moreton from FremantleMedia and she will join the studio’s International TV Production division in London as senior VP, business affairs.
NBCU said Moreton will be “instrumental in implementing NBCU International TV Production’s strategy as it enters its next phase of growth”.
At FremantleMedia she was head of legal and business affairs working on international deals for shows including The X Factor and The Apprentice.
Prior to that Moreton was at CBS/Paramount International Television, working across international format deals and programme licensing deals with European broadcasters. Before CBS she was senior VP for US cable net Sundance Channel.
Moreton will join NBCU this autumn and report to COO Sarah Cooper who joined from BBC Worldwide earlier this year.
Cooper said: “I am very pleased that we have secured someone who has worked across such a wide range of great TV programmes and businesses. Jacqueline brings enormous experience, gained in both the UK and internationally, as well as a fantastic track-record to the role.”
