Weather Channel launches smart TV app in Europe

The Weather Channel has launched a European connected TV app, featuring live TV, forecasts, severe weather reports, videos and user-generated content. 

The app is available in mainland Europe and the UK on LG smart TVs, while in France a set-top box app is also available to Orange Livebox Play customers.

The service adds to the existing Weather.com app that is available globally on mobile and tablet devices.

Patrick Vogt, president of parent firm The Weather Company International, said the European smart TV rollout is “testament to the continued expansion and success of our global multi-platform products that drive deeper engagement with our audience.”
