Cyfrowy Polsat introduces live TV Ipla package
Polish pay TV provider Cyfrowy Polsat has introduced a new online live TV package for its OTT service Ipla.
IplaNetTV will let viewers watch 15 linear TV channels, including Polsat News, Cinema Poland, Filmbox. Polsat Cafe and Polsat Play, from anywhere. Viewers can watch via apps for Windows PCs, iOS and Android tablets or smartphones, and select LG and Samsung smart TVs.
Discovery is also being added to the service, both as a linear channel and to Ipla’s VOD service, with viewers able to watch documentary series such as Guild Wars, and 10 Commandments of he Mafia on-demand.
Maciej Staszak, Cyfrowy Polsat’s director for strategy and development told DTVE: “IPLA is the biggest online television in Poland. We have got 3.2 million users of the PC application and website. Additionally, in March 2013, Ipla had 1.5 million users of the applications for mobile devices, smartTVs, set-top boxes of the pay TV suppliers and games consoles.”
He added: “We offer our services in two business models – pay and advertising. Now the advertisements are responsible for 15% of IPLA’s revenues but we want to change this proportions in future.”
Monthly access to the new IplaNetTV package will cost PLN9,90 (€2.39) or PLN4,90 for Cyfrowy Polsat subscribers.
