Neotion launches HbbTV tablet app

Neotion has launched an HbbTV tablet service, that will include a catalogue of apps supported by Neotion’s  BlueBridge platform.

The app is designed to let viewers navigate Hbb TV content on a tablet or smartphone whilst in front of their main TV screen, with the viewer able to connect to the TV apps via WiFi.

“The Hbb Tablet service is aimed at owners of TV screens which are connected and Hbb compatible who would like to have an individual navigation and control using their tablet,” said Neotion.

It said the launch comes as the Hbb TV standard is being deployed in Europe and beyond, with more TV manufacturers producing screens with an integrated Hbb browser and internet connection and more TV channels launching more TV apps related to their programmes.
