Serbia on course for 2015 digitisation deadline

Serbian’s switch from analogue to digital TV is due to be completed by June 17 2015, even though only 15% to 20% of this process has been completed so far, according to deputy Prime Minister Rasim Ljajic.

Ljajic, who is also minister of foreign and internal trade and telecommunications, is quoted in local press as saying that better coordination with state institutions involved in digitisation had now been established and that a bill and pieces of legislation needed for the rest of the process to take place will be passed by June.
