Intelsat reorganises senior management team

Satellite operator Intelsat has reorganised its senior management structure.

Intelsat has promoted deputy chairman and CEO Dave McGlade to chairman and CEO, effective from April 1. McGlade has meanwhile appointed Stephen Spengler to the new position of president and chief commercial officer, effective March 18. Spengler was previously executive vice-president, sales, marketing and strategy.

Michelle Bryan has been appointed to the position of executive vice-president, general Counsel and chief administrative officer. She will maintain her current responsibilities covering human resources and corporate services. The current general counsel, Phillip Spector, will transition to a new role as a member of Intelsat’s board of directors, effective April 1.

Thierry Guillemin has been promoted to executive vice-president and chief technical officer.  Guillemin was previously senior vice-president and chief technical officer.

Michael McDonnell, Intelsat’s executive vice-president and chief financial officer, remains in his current role and will add responsibility for corporate development.
